Grand Karas represents the uttermost expression of this unique terroir. By selecting the most outstanding grapes from each harvest, this Syrah-led blend is aged in both Armenian and French oak barrels, the best efforts joining forces with artistry to create Karas' most iconic wine. A deep ruby colour, very complex and elegant wine. Full-bodied with soft tannins and a long-lasting end.

Karas Single Vineyard Syrah was harvested from vineyards tucked away at the foot of Mount Ararat in Armenia's Armavir Region. The ancient terroir is known for its volcanic soil, one of the unique benefits of crafting vintages in the birthplace of wine. This was ages in Armenian oak, ensuring exciting new levels of complexity. Black fruits, spices, and velvety tannins - a true expression of the valley.

Fermented in Karas, traditional Armenian clay amphorae and aged in Armenia oak - combined with the Ararat Valley's unique volcanic soil profile, we've crafted a striking caucasian identity, with notable earthy, mineral, fruity, and structured characteristics, a true expression of the valley.
